Joomla! version: (1.5.23)
PHP version: (5.2.14)
MySQL version: (5.0.92)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup Professional version: (3.3.a3 - latest)

Upon upgrading to 3.3.a3 (2011-06-03)

I've lost the ability to send to an external server.

Data Processing Engine: No Post-Processing & Send by Email are the only options.

S3 (and my prior settings) are gone.

Has something changed, and I've completely missed it.

Backing up locally and downloading works fine, but doing it to S3 was so much easier.

I've only updated to v3 on one of my sites, my others are fine.

Thanks.

Are you sure you have installed the Professional release? These options are available in 3.3.a3 Professional; I tried a fresh installation to make sure. If you are positive you have 3.3.a3 Professional, please try installing the latest developer's release on top of your existing installation. Does it show all the configuration options now?

FYI I also had this problem installing Akeeba Backup Professional 3.3.a3 (2011-06-03) over the core version. I had to uninstall and reinstall pro to get the options to show up

This is a known issue, fixed in the latest developer's release. 3.3.b1 is scheduled for next week, stay tuned!

Just to let you know, I still had this problem with version 3.3.3. I also installed on top of the core and did not see the advanced features. Uninstalling and installing Akeeba Backup Pro fixed it.

This only happens when Joomla! fails to copy some necessary files to their final location. It's not something I can replicate on my (well-tuned) local and live test servers. However, the last time I saw that on a client's site, the folder permissions were a bit askew and didn't let Joomla! copy files. Uninstalling removed all folders, so the subsequent re-installation was successful in copying all necessary files and the problem went away.
