After I have installed my Akeeba Backup Pro for the second time it works finally. I have made several backups now!
But...after everytime I have opened my website in the browser I get backups as zipfiles in my mailbox, it is slowing down my whole website now. I am using Joomla 1.6 and what could I do about it now?

Go to Extensions, Plugins and disable the "Akeeba Backup Lazy Scheduling" plugin. Do note that this plugin is deprecated since Akeeba Backup 3.2.5 and removed in 3.3.a1.

Do I understand quite well as I make the conclusion that I have to deinstall my version of Akeeba Backup Pro and I have to install the next version you mentioned?

Do not uninstall anything. We are in 2011. Uninstalling components before upgrade is so 2007. If you want to use the (alpha, unstable) 3.3.a1 version just install it without uninstalling 3.2.7. Joomla! will simply perform an extension upgrade.

Is version 3.3.a1 version very unstable? What could I expect for problems?

It's stable enough to use on my own sites. There are no known issues as of this writing.

Nicholas thank you for your kindless help as a professional!

I have disabled the plugin you mentioned and it will be working. The 33.a.1 version is downloaded to my local computer now too. So when it doesn't work I am going to install that version.
