Hello,
I attach error log

Akeeba has worked perfectly until a week ago, from then on I started getting an error saying it was not possible to upload the backup archive to the remte server,
  • FTP connection to remote server is working correctly
  • Akeeba is configured to split archive in 20MB parts, which has worked since now
  • Backups generated via conjob are being uploaded correctly to the remote server, this issue is just for backups generated manually

Please ZIP and attach your log file. Plain text files are disregarded by our forum system (they're saved as 0 byte files for security reasons).

Now, given that the CRON mode works, I assume that this is a timeout issue. Have you tried using smaller archive parts, e.g. 15 or 10Mb?

Akeeba Backup reports that it was able to connect to the FTP server, but the FTP server didn't allow it to upload the file. This means that you either have a permissions issue or the FTP path you are uploading to does nto exist or doesn't have correct privileges.

you are right, I can't upload even via Filezilla

I will have to solve this with the storage service provider,
anyway the question is:
why backups generated via cronjob are being uploaded normally?

Maybe the CRON job is using a different backup profile which uses a different FTP user name and password which allows uploads?
