Hi
I use akeeba backup pro 3.1.5 und created a jpa backup file, download it in binary mode with filezilla and tried to extract it with extract wizard 3.0.4 on mac intel but extract wizard hang up. I use a subfolder of the jpa directory to extract to. I also use my system as admin.

I read a lot of topics about problems extracting files. And I did all the steps written there. So I have no idea whats wrong.

Please give me some advice, thanks a lot

Have you tried using Kickstart, running it though MAMP or XAMPP on your Mac? On my MBP I use Kickstart running on XAMPP all the time without a problem.

Hi Nicholas

I tested kickstart on local xampp, it seems to work. I also tested kickstart on a real developing server environement. It works fine. So I can work this way. But why does the extract wizard for mac not work? For me it is a good tool.

Thanks a lot

It is a bit outdated and, until last week, I had no Mac to work on it. Fixing it is on my short-term to do list.
