Hi

When I click Backup Now I get this error message:

WARNING

jQuery and/or jQuery UI have not been loaded. This usually means that you have to change the permissions of media/com_akeeba and all of its contents to a least 0644. Alternatively, click on the "Parameters" icon, located in the toolbar of Akeeba Backup's Control Panel page and set the source for both of them to "Google AJAX API".

I last did a successful backup on July 15 and the JPA file says it has permissions 0755.

Now it will not let me do a backup. I went into the Parameters section and changed them to use Google AJAX API but it makes no difference.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the latest version of Akeeba Pro but I get the same error message.

Suggestions please?

Thanks Mike.

The JPA file permissions have nothing to do with it. Please give 0755 permissions to the /media/com_akeeba and all of its subdirectories (recursive) and 0644 permissions to all the files contained therein. Alternatively, use the "Fix Permissions" feature of our Admin Tools software to automatically fix all permissions on your site.

Hi
Thanks for help.
I downloaded and installed Admin Tools.
Clicked the Fix Permissions button.
It said Permissions Fixed but I still get same error message when I ckick Backup Now.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Mike.

The other thing that I can think of is:
a. A Javascript collision with a plugin you installed after you made the last backup
b. A corrupt media/com_akeeba directory (I've seen that on very old Joomla! releases and some very cheap hosts)
c. Admin Tools didn't have enough privileges to really change permissions, which is especially true if you're on a shared host and haven't enabled Joomla!'s FTP layer in your site's Global Configuration.

I'd suggest first trying to give 0755 permissions recursively (that is, including subdirectories and files) to the media/com_akeeba directory using your FTP client. If this doesn't work please send me a PM with the URL to your site, Super Administrator login information and FTP login information so that I can take a look.
