Hello,
Just to clarify, is it true that we can still use AKEEBA PRO after the one year subscription, or do we have to renew the subscription in any case to use the product after that first year?

Akeeba Backup Professional is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3. The license allows you to use the software on as many domains and for as long as you want. Even if your subscription expires, you will still be able to use the software. You will just not be able to update. So, there is no need to renew the subscription if you only want to use the software.

Do note that our support policy is to only support the latest stable version (as well as newer alphas and betas) and to also offer support for the professional features only to users having an active subscription to AKEEBAPRO, SUPPORT or AKEEBADELUXE levels.
