An error occured

Invalid AJAX data received:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 127803056 bytes) in /home/thisdoor/public_html/xxxxxxx.com/kickstart.php on line 1663

Trying to restore here and got this above, (although the kickstart ui is kinda pretty now)
the only thing I can think is I believe the are 1-2 joomla update installers in the backup.
Should I open the akeeba .zips and remove them and then .zip again?

Hm... It looks like you have some pretty big compressed files in that archive causing Kickstart to run out of memory. The only workaround is to extract the archive locally and upload the extracted files to your host. After all, Kickstart is not a restoration script, it's only an archive extraction tool. The actual installer is inside the archive and can be accessed, upon uploading the extracted files to your site, by accessing http://www.yoursite.com/installation/index.php.

thx, yeah I removed the compressed files, now trying a backup again but not getting past initializing backup / last server response process, I inadvertently did the suggested upgrade to beta (fyi)
going back gives an ajax error but no log info

I just released RC1. This should fix the backup issue.

another non related question, on another install, I get a black background when adding a note to an existing backup, why is my WYSWYG editor doing that? any idea? it's JCE 1.5.7.4

boomshot
I found it, it was in the editors settings needing an editor_content.css

Yes, this is true with all templates and most (actually, all properly coded) Joomla! WYSIWYG editors. Unfortunately, no template author ever bothers to create a proper CSS file for the editor, causing the problem you witnessed :(

Hi again, maybe I should create another post, but I am trying to understand why I always get a "Could not connect to database. Please check your connection params" - this happens when trying to "install" a backup coming from my hosting service, and using kickstart 2.4.1 - I have created a database and user with what I believe to be correct data. I run MAMP. What could it be?

- FIXED (password issue) :|
