connection to remote ftp server (my own QNAP nas) does not work. when i click on 'test ftp connection' after 60 seconds i get 'Could not connect to remote FTP server'. how to solve this? i use the same settings like in filezilla (here it works fine).

Maybe your site has a firewall which blocks access to the remote FTP server. You should ask your host/network administrator to open the connection to your FTP server. Usually this requires giving the IP address of the FTP server and the port you want to connect to (port 21 for plain FTP).

this was not the problem. my internet provider was the problem. they block port 21.... i made a redirect in my router 8200 --> 21 and using 8200 did work.

Yup, that's a very good workaround :) I am glad it's working now!
