I have recently purchased Akeeba Backup Pro.

I am concerned that I am seeing a large warning message in red that quickly flashes on the screen as I enter the control panel of Akeeba Backup Pro. It passes so quickly that I am unable to read anything other than the word: Warning.

Is this a normal occurrence? I have spent a substantial amount of time sifting through the Support Forum here at akeebabackup and also at joomla.org, but I do not seem to find anyone else having this issue. I am working with the latest versions of Akeeba Backup Pro, Joomla, and both Firefox and Safari.

Any enlightenment would be very appreciated.

In trying various approaches, I have removed AdminPraise Lite as the default Administrator template and this seems to have resolved the issue.

It is not a normal occurrence. Nicholas recently made a program change to accommodate another admin template. I'll flag this thread for him to see if there is anything he can do with this one.

Nope, this is normal with AdminPraise Lite. It all has to do with server speed, number and size of CSS & Javascript files and your Internet connection.

Akeeba Backup Core and Pro have a big red warning stating that jQuery is not loaded. Once the jQuery and Akeeba Backup's interface Javascript files are loaded, a tiny piece of jQuery runs and hides this notification. When you have a complex template with a lot of CSS and Javascript, it takes a while to finalize loading jQuery and, as a result, it takes a while to hide the warning, causing the flash.

There is nothing we can do about it except you using Firefox which caches the files and eliminates the problem after the first page load. Yeap, I specifically mentioned Firefox, as the other browsers will bust their cache whenever your Joomla! back-end performs a background redirection, which is after each administrative action you make, causing the JS and CSS files to be reloaded from your server on practically every page load.
