When I click back-up Now it does nothing. I am on a Mac and have tried Safari and FireFox. Any ideas?

user8728
Just to note, I did not have this problem on the free version.

At that point, there shouldn't be any differences between Core and Pro. I'll ask Nicholas to take a look at this.

The Javascript code loading and running on both versions is the same, as far as the Backup page is concerned. Most probably there was a partial installation or a permissions issue which doesn't allow the Javascript files to run. Can you give me backend access to your site so that I can see what is going wrong? You can do so using the personal messages system of this site.

I did have some message about setting the media folder/com_akeeba permissions to 644. Does this sound right?

You have a message taking up half the screen, in yellow background and 32pt letters. The reason it's made so obvious is because I want to attract your attention and fix this issue because, as the message reads, the component will not work otherwise.

The short answer is yes, you do have to make these permission changes. You have to give 0644 permissions recursively to all files and directories in media/com_akeeba.
