Hi,
I have fixed on "Preferences" to be sent an email confirming the backups success but the emails arrive only with:
- EMAIL_SUBJECT_OK
- EMAIL_BODY_OK
An no more information... !?
- I'm fully updated to the latest Akeeba Backup Professional 3.0.a5.1 (2010-03-24) and the languaje .ini files seems are correct with a default text defined for each variable but the final email arrive empty as described.
- The backups ar managed trhough "Akeeba Remote Control app.; May be that helps!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Rgrds,
GammX1

This is a known language error in the alpha series. It should be fixed for the release of the beta in a week or so. I can't see what is wrong, the language strings are there. My guess is that it has to do with the "COM_AKEEBA" prefix, something in the code isn't expecting it.

Happy to see you are working on the bug.
No problem to wait for the beta release,
Thanks for all!

Simply to notify that using the native CRON script with this sintax:
usr/local/bin/php /home/johndoe/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup.php -profile 2 -description "My automated backup"
on Akeeba Backup 3.0.b1-pro this little issue is still there.

With the version Akeeba Backup Professional svn119 (2010-04-21) I get a cron error, but I don’t know if is a site related issue because I didn’t yet tested the Akeeba Backup Professional 3.0.b1 (2010-04-20) on this site.
Here the mail from cron command /usr/local/bin/php /home/ilconven/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup.php -profile 2 -description "Backup solo DB"

Oops! You are right. I had a wrong setup in my test server, which resulted in me writing bad code

I have just uploaded SVN120. This should fix both issues (hopefully!)

The SVN121 works fine. Now in the mail is only missing the “from” field.

I tried that, but the From field was always populated correctly. It is read directly from configuration.php ("mailfrom" and "fromname" parameters).

Hi
with the last SVN release I get the same issue about the "invalid address" into the sender address field and also no correct description about witch site as been backuped .
I have many sites and hope to have this information in the subject field to monitor the backup process.
It's not really urgent to correct this issue.
backup and restore is well operational

thanks again for this great tools

Nicholas is out of town this week, attending the J! and Beyond conference. I don't expect him back online before Thursday.
