I understand that Akeeba Backup is unrelated to JoomlaPack and that they can both be installed together, but if I wanted to move to Akeeba is there a way to get my different backup profiles from JoomlaPack or would I have to totally recreate them from scratch?

If I have to recreate, is there any shortcuts that you can recommend?

Thanks,
Dom Cassone

Since the backup engine of Akeeba Backup is completely different there is no straightforward way of "moving" your profiles. Some of the settings which were essential in making your JoomlaPack backup work at all are now made obsolete (and removed) due to the improvements in the backup engine. The same goes for inclusion/exclusion filters. Other than creating the profiles from scratch there is no other way of "migrating" your settings.
