We have a site that is experiencing a fatal error and we are unable to access the Joomla admin. We do however have access to the hosting file manager and database. I personally made quarterly backups last year using Akeeba Backup, but the /backup folder is empty. No archives and no logs. I checked my Google Drive where most of my site backups go, and there are no archives there for this site from 2024.

Is there a way to check a config file or the database and see what Akeeba was set to do with the archive files? This project is anomalous enough that maybe the archives went somewhere different than usual.

Thanks.

If you have SSH access to the site, go to the cli directory and run:

php joomla.php akeeba:option:list --profile=1 --format=csv > options.csv

Download and open the resulting file in a spreadsheet application (Microsoft Office Excel, Apple Numbers, LibreOffice Calc, Google Docs, etc).

If you don't have SSH access you're out of luck. By default, the options in #__akeebabackup_profiles are stored encrypted with a key stored in the component's directory. We'd have to get you to dump that table and copy the file, I'd have to write a program to do the decryption, and hope for the best.
