Hi there,

We use Akeeba backup zip to create Joomla websites on our staging server.

Once the site is ready, it gets pushed to production.

I've noticed that when we run the Akeeba restore on the staging server to create the Joomla site, it leaves behind the en-GB.kickstart.ini file behind.

Should that file not get removed on clean-up? Or is there a setting I need to change in Akeeba.

Regards

Nick

This file is not necessary to run Kickstart. The English translation is included in Kickstart itself. You only need to upload the kickstart.php file.

The INI file is only included in the package for people who want to translate Kickstart. For example, you can rename it to it-IT.kickstart.ini and translate it to Italian. Then, upload it together with kickstart.php. As long as your browser is set up to prefer Italian over English, you will see the interface in Italian, and this file will be removed during clean-up.

Hi Nicholas,

That's great, thanks. We've removed the ini file from the build.
