This is just a general question.

We try to make the process more streamline and automatic.

We could now import the JSON file for Akeeba Backup Profiles, so that it will use what we have for the settings. This is great!

However, we try to save our projects' backup files by domain, in its own directory:

/example.com/

/another-example.com/

May I ask whether we could use a varible, so that it will read the current website's domain like the [DEFAULT_OUTPUT] we used for the output directory?

That is, puttong [DOMAIN] at this field:

https://mrkr.io/s/67bcd582019477ad407fe2ef/0

so that we don't have to manually adjust each profile for a new project?

Thank you

Hello,

in theory that should be already possible, the variable you're looking for is [HOST]. Please give it a try and let me know

Thank you for your always fast response! Works Perfectly!

Now. May I ask whether there is a way to store the S3 credentials in an encrypted way, so that even other people access the JSON won't have access the sensitive access data?

Thank you.

Hello,

I'm sorry but that's not possible. Credentials can be stored encrypted in your database, but they are exported in clear text
