Hi,

since the update to Akeeba 10.0, two days ago, I have an issue with the cron that triggers the backup.

The error happens after the backup is finished. That issue prevents the cron to send me an email to let me know the backup has been done correctly.

Everything was fine the version 9.

I have attached the screenshots:

- the first one is to show that it happens since the new version of Akeeba.

- the second one is the first error code: 500

- the third one is the secondn error code: 928.

Please would you help me to solve the issue?

Thanks
A. Guillen

Error 928 is a WebCRON.org-specific error which means "I ran out of time". Increase the time limit of your CRON job.

Error 500 only means there's an error somewhere. It's not necessarily related to our software.

In fact, I see you are using PHP 8.4. While our software supports it, it is not enough. Our software runs inside Joomla which does not support PHP 8.4. Other third party plugins also run inside Joomla and activate during the request, third party software which is unlikely to support PHP 8.4. Have you tried using PHP 8.3 instead?

Beyond that, I need the backup log files to tell you if our software has finished executing properly. From that point onwards, what happens is up to Joomla and how third party plugins installed into it will behave. We do not have control over any of that.

Hi Nicholas,

thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate it.

You are right regarding the 928 error code. It was due to a lack of time. 2 seconds were missing.

Regarding the 500 error, I do not know. Last night it worked fine. Give me few days to make some tests. I will come back to you.

It should be fine.

Sincerely,

A. Guillen
