EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Moved a site to a subdomain on a new server to prep for redesign.

Site restore was successful. Began work. Used Akeeba backup top make a backup file, but there was a power failure during the process.

Now the backup process proceeds until the end, and then throws an alert message about security token not matching.

Backup process starts again automatically.

How can I stop the loop and fix the problem?

The power failure means that you ended up with a half-taken backup which is why your backups are in an indeterminate state.

Go to the Manage Backups page and delete the backup entries for the failed backup and all of the backups that followed it.

Then, using SFTP or your hosting control panel's file manager, go into your backup output directory (default: administrator/components/com_akeebabackup/backup) and delete all of the .php files you see in there. These are log files (which don't matter), but also possibly some "memory files" from a previous, interrupted backup. Removing these files will essentially reset the backup state so that the next backup works correctly.

If this doesn't help, you can try increasing your session expiration time to something longer. Something around 30 minutes should be enough.
