I have a few test websites where I try out new things. I use akeeba backup to return to the situation just after installing Joomla and akeeba Backup Pro.

After recovery, akeeba wants to remove the installation directory but that goes wrong, see screenshot 1.

However, there appears to be no installation directory (anymore) and so I cannot remove it manually.

The previous browser tab also remains open, see screenshot 2.

But the restore apparently happened correctly: both the admin page and the website itself work correctly.

Strange...

Thanks,

Didier.

I am aware of this. I am actually writing a new installation script.

The correct solution until that happens is to not remove the installation directory using the restoration script itself. Instead, close its tab, and click on Clean Up in the Kickstart tab.
