Hello

Surprised not to have received a response.

Maybe because exceptionally I put a more urgent need ;-) ! ?

I did not respond to you because:

  • I could not reproduce it from different servers across the world.
  • There were no requests matching this edge status code in our CloudFlare CDN logs.
  • There were no reports about something even remotely similar by anyone else.
  • The rate of downloads of our software has been steady and within historically expected volume.
  • The overall site traffic has been normal and within historically expected volume.
  • HTTP 413 makes no sense in the context of downloading our software since that's a GET request, whereas HTTP 413 only applies to requests with a payload, such as POST and PUT.

This very strongly indicated that it was something on your end, very likely a cock-up in your server environment (if I were to guess: there's a caching proxy for HTTP requests made from your server to the Internet) with a very good chance that it would resolve itself given time. Given the fact that it's a non-emergency issue we have nothing to do with, and that by the time I had checked all that it was almost time to log off for the weekend, I did not see a reason to reply out of our working hours.

Redoing Friday's fact-finding and troubleshooting today I see that nothing has changed. Therefore, I conclude that this is something on your end.
