Hello,

I have been using Akeeba backup since 2021. I run the pro version now.

I have a question regarding the backups managment to which I counldn't find an answer on this forum or in the documentation.

In my "manage backups" panel, there is an overview of backups dating back to 2021.

I would like to remove the obsolote ones from the list, but Joomla or Akeeba won't let me.

I am able to select the obsolete entries, pick "delete" from actions, system notifies me the deletion was succesful

however, the entry is still on the list.

On my server, I only have 3 backups of the backend and three of the site, which is enough for me.

I hope you are able to help.

Kindly note that the message you receive indicates that you are clicking on Delete Files, not Delete. You need to use the latter.

Thanks!

How did I overlook that?!

No worries! Repeating the same mistake originally made due to oversight is human nature. There is also a stupidly effective trick to address it, courtesy of the Japanese train conductors. Physically point at every thing on the screen and speak out loud what you're about to do with it. I was skeptical at first, too, but it works wonders!
