Hi

It tooks 3 days to perform an automatic backup with Akeeba launched from Joomla.

The previous  automatic backups lasted between 3 hours and 17 hours while manual backups are all around 6 - 7 minutes.

Is there something wrong in the way I set up the automatic backup?

Best Regards

Loys

Hello,

how did you trigger the backup? Is that a Joomla task?

Hi

Yes, this is a joomla task.

I take benefit of this reply to resend the log file that I forgot to zip in the first shot.

As explained on the scheduling information page, using Joomla tasks is not very optimized, since it relies on the traffic of your website. If it takes so long, you should really consider setting up a proper CRON job that triggers backups

Hi

my web host is OVH (France), and they don't allow to pass a parameter behind the ? of the URL in case of Web CRON or to write something after ...cli/joomla.php in case of CLI CRON jobs

In this case you should use an external tool to trigger your backups, for example WebCron.org . You can even have a small PC that will trigger such URLs or (if you have several sites to manage) setup a server with Panopticon, our site manager.
