Hi,

I had a problem updating Akeeba back-up under Joomla.

While the update stopped I made a backup of the site and unfortunately the whole site was gone and also it damaged the SSL records.

Fortunately my host could produce a emergency back-up, so after repair of the SSL I could continu. However the Akeeba component is in error and shows only the atytached zipped page.

How can I continu?

Because I want to migrate to Joomla 5.

Thanks for your reply.

Regards,

Hans

You cannot break your site's SSL/TLS by updating a Joomla! extension. The HTTPS configuration of the site is stored in files Joomla! and its extensions (or PHP running on your site in general) cannot possibly access. This sounds like your server's filesystem got messed up.

First, ask your host to make sure there is nothing broken on the filesystem side.

Then, install Akeeba Backup again, twice in a row, without uninstalling it before or in between. This will replace the Akeeba Backup files you are currently missing.

File system has been checked by host and also by Mxtoolbox. Was ok.

Run Akeeba backup software again from file and restore was perfect.

Thanks.
