EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

In the configuration in the control panel, I set the JPA  part size for split archives to 2000 MB, but I still only get 1 14 GB file.  The host I'm transferring to cannot accept a file bigger than 8 gb so i'm trying to find a way to work around this.  I tried the site transfer wizard, but it times out at the 8gb mark as well.

According to your log file you get seven part files with the extensions .j01, .j02, .j03, .j04, .j05, .j06, .jpa. The first six are 2000MiB big, the last one (.jpa) is 1.49GiB big.

An easy way to see that for yourself is to find the line which reads

DEBUG |20230806 19:01:21|Total size of backup archive (in bytes): 14177053908

and look at the 40 lines after it. You will see it tells you 7 files are found and lists these files as it goes through them.

Please remember that the interface always reports the total size of the backup i.e. the aggregate size of all archive part files.

Finally, please keep in mind that all Configuration page settings apply per backup profile. The log file you sent me is from profile #1 and does not have any uploading set up in it. If you have a different backup profile with uploading set up in it you will need to configure the part size for split archives in that profile as well. Select it from the main page to make it active, the page reloads, now click on the Configure button.

I'm sorry.... I never refreshed the FTP and only saw the 14 gb files.
