Hi Just have a quick question.  I looked online and through the documentation but couldn't find the answer.

I have several instances of the site that have been created as I go through the process of setting up Joomla4.  Using these as reference points or testing before integrating.  Just wondering since these are for the most part stagnant and not changing just wondering how do I tell Akeeba Backup to pause and not do backups unless requested.  Basically how do I tell Akeeba Backup to stop.

Thanks!

Warmly
Nadja

Hello,

Akeeba Backup creates the backup only when it's being told so. This means that the backup is started manually from the backend, automatically when a new version of Joomla is installed or triggered by a CRON script that launches the backup at regular intervals.

The first case is pretty obvious :)

If you want to stop backups on updates, please take a look at the System plugins and disable the "Backup on update" plugin.

Regarding the last one, you have to check what's triggering your backup and then disable such script for those sites.
