EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Upon updating Akeeba 8.3.1, it broke my Gantry Framework.  When I restored to the previous version the site recovered.

Here is the Gantry Error

Hello,

the file you posted it's a bit hard to read. Can you please attach the original Word document here? Please zip it before attaching it so I can review what's going on.

Akeeba Backup does not load in the front-end of your site. It cannot break your template.

The screenshot you linked to is unusable as you have downscaled it to the most tiny size size imaginable and applied heavy compression which makes it very fuzzy as well. The largest text on it is barely legible, at around 6pt, and very blurry. It appears to be saying something about Gantry being unable to create a folder because it already exists, but all further information is completely and utterly illegible (nobody can read 1pt text on a blurry JPEG file, where each letter is barely 3px tall...).

I would say that you've hit a problem with Gantry, not Akeeba Backup. Please reproduce the problem, take a FULL SIZE screenshot, and ask RocketTheme for help.

OK, thank you for your reply.  I did attach a zip file for your review.

Hello,

thank you for the better screenshot. As you can see in the error message, the Gantry framework is trying to create a folder that already exists.

My hunch is that they're compiling the assets for your site (CSS, JS, twig template etc etc) but they're not checking if the folder they're going to use already exists, blindly creating them. If that folder is already there, an error occurs.

This is something not related to Akeeba Backup, since 95% of the code is related to the backend, the remaining it's for CLI operations or frontend backups which do not even require the template to load.

You should report this issue to Gantry developers, since it's not related to our software.

Thank you for confirming it is a framework issue and not Akeeba.  I didn't have any other errors with similiar sites, so I will have to reach out to Rockettheme.

Have a great day.
