We would like to request an FTP address where we can send the archive file.

We created a backup with Akeeba Core version. Today we installed Akeeba Backup Pro and wish to restore the archive.

In the background, we are racing to get a website restored following several issues related to a hack and also newer templates issues.

Many thanks in advance.

Please let us know what is the exact issue you are having.

If you are receiving an error message please copy the message here, or take a screenshot and attach it to your next reply.

Having the backup archive is unlikely to be of any help. If we can restore it on our servers it doesn't help you restore it on yours. If there is a problem which makes it impossible to extract the archive we can tell from the error message far faster than it would take you to upload the backup archive and then for us to download it and try to extract it.

In the previous page, scroll all the way to the bottom.

Set the minimum execution time to 7 seconds and the maximum execution time to 2 seconds. No, it's not a typo. By having the minimum higher than the maximum we will throttle down the archive extraction by ~70%. This will help if the server is blocking requests because they come "too fast".

If this doesn't help, you may want to temporarily rename the .htaccess file of your site. The integrated restoration feature is directly calling the administrator/components/com_akeebabackup/restore.php script. If you have a server-side protection, i.e. .htaccess rules, or permissions settings which prevent this file from being called directly the process will fail.
