Thank you for the heads up! There were three missing lines from a file in the released version which caused this problem on sites using PHP 7.4 only (PHP 8.0 and 8.1 are unaffected). I am publishing version 9.4.1 right away to address this issue.

I had caught the problem and in my mind it was addressed. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when merging the changes between branches before release, leaving this change out of the released version. So thank you once again for giving me a very quick heads up which let me fix my mistake before too many people installed this version :)
