Hi,

i installed the brand new Akeeba Backup (9.3.2 ) in a  Joomla 4.2.3 environment.

If i do a backup and choose JPA, the backup works fine but i do not want JPA files,

because "Akeeba extract" is not maintained any longer.

So i changed to ZIP and now, when performing a backup i immediately run into the following error :

dechex(): Argument #1 ($num) must be of type int, float given

Thx for any

BTW : i know kickstart but i want to stay with ZIP Backup files

Best regards

Please ZIP and attach your backup log file. As far as I can see you will probably only get a warning, not a fatal error which stops the backup. I want to see what is going on which is what the log file will tell me.

You can ZIP and attach the log file in your ticket. Attachments are always private, even on public tickets — only the ticket owner (you) and the support staff (me and Davide) can view them.

In fact, using ticket attachments is much safer than email. Email is communicated unencrypted between mail servers. Attachments are uploaded and downloaded over HTTPS which is encrypted. We also remove attachments from older tickets automatically, whereas any received email is archived for at least a year.

Now you know why we ask you to attach files whenever possible.
