i ordered backup pro and want to activate it. I make a download key in "Add on download ID"
if i take the key i get the message : "Speichern fehlgeschlagen. Fehler:"
what is wrong ?
Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

I submitted this ticket on your behalf so we can keep the conversation in one place.
Go to https://www.akeeba.com/download/official/add-on-dlid.html to find your Download Key.
Depending on your Joomla version there's a different way to enter it.
On Joomla 3: Go to Components, Akeeba Backup, Options, Live Update. Paste your Download ID into the Download ID box. Click on Save & Close on the toolbar.
On Joomla 4: Go to System from the side menu. On the new page find the Update area towards the bottom of the middle column and click on the Update Sites link. Find the Akeeba Backup package item and click on it. There's a Download Key box. Paste your Download ID there. Click on Save & Close on the toolbar.
If you still have a problem please do tell me which Joomla and PHP version you are using.

This message actually comes from Joomla itself, that's why it's in German (we only provide English language files with our extensions). If you look at the URL you'll see option=com_installer which tells you that the page is handled by Joomla's extensions installer component (com_installer), not our code.
My best guess is that you have a problem with your database tables. Please go to System, Maintenance, Database, select Joomla CMS from the list and click on the Update Structure toolbar button. Then retry entering the Download ID.
If this still fails please let me know.
