Nothing to worry about, these are older emails which were not sent between August 16th and 24th. Your subscriptions are active as per the information in the My Subscriptions page.

So, here's what happened.

We updated our site to Joomla 4.2.0 on August 16th, when the new version came out.

As you my have read, this version had a few issues. One of these issues was it had completely broken the CLI application. We use the CLI application to send the notification emails for subscription expiration and subscription lifecycle (expired subscriptions).

I reported this issue, identified the root cause and submitted a fix for it. This was merged a couple of days ago, made it into the Joomla 4.2.1-RC2 test release and confirmed by other affected parties as working.

So, today, 8 days after the issue first occurred, I applied my patch for this issue on our site. As a result all the emails which could not be sent earlier went out all at once. I couldn't do otherwise, there would have been hundreds of people not notified about their subscriptions legitimately expiring in a few days.

I have to say, complete failure of the Joomla CLI Application was NOT a failure mode I had anticipated when I built our sales system. The Joomla CLI had been rock solid for well over 10 years, since it was first introduced. Well, what can I say. There's always a first time for everything!
