EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 10MiB, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Scenario: I import a backup archive and restore from that archive. After backing up this site, all imported archives are included into the backup regardless of configuration of the backup profile.

This is correct. You need to exclude the directory you have placed these archives in yourself. If they are in a directory with other important files you want to backup then you need to exclude just the backup archive files.

Remember that only a few directories are automatically excluded. The tmp and cache folders of Joomla and the configured backup output directory of the backup profile.

I apologize - I found the reason: 2nd copy of the site wasn't able to fing configured backup folder (which was out of site root and thus not created by restore) and switched to the default output folder.

Thanks for help anyway, closing ticket.
