Please help me with the following question.

I have a live and a test site under the same domain, the test site is in a subdomain.

Because I want to actualize the test site periodically, I would like to use a backup from the live site and restore it on the test site. The structure is exactly the same, exept the database is another database, but with exactly the same structure.

How can I do that? If I copy a backup from the live site to the test site, Akeeba is not recognizing it as a backup.

Would you please give me a hint? I do not want all the times to remove the whole folder and use kickstart, I would prefer to use the restore function in Akeeba Backup.

Best regards,

Dr. Christian Jirik
