Going through the Joomla 4 pre-check and file_fof40 is reported as needing upgrading. I have Professional 8.0.15 installed.
Should I ignore and then simply upgrade to the Joomla 4 version of Pro or what?
Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

Ignore that. Upgrade to Joomla 4. After you are on Joomla 4 go to Components, Akeeba Backup and follow the instructions you see on your screen to upgrade to Akeeba Backup 9 — can't miss them, they are in larger type at the top of the Akeeba Backup control panel page.
