Hi, I really only have a very small problem or a request:
I have a J4 clean installation, where the plugin Quick Icon - Akeeba Backup Notification was displayed in the dashboard under Notifications.
During my J3 to J4 migration, the plugin was displayed under "3rd party", very close to the JCE File Browser in the dashboard.
How can I control exactly where this icon is displayed?

Thanks so much,
delta papa

You can't. That's something that Joomla 4 itself has changed. Third party quickicon plugins can no longer choose the section they appear. They always appear under 3rd Party.

This is because the people who designed the Joomla 4 backend template (Atum) did not understand how the Quick Icons feature works, nor did they ask me — the person who had contributed this feature back in Joomla 1.7 — for help. When I reported it during the alpha period regardless I was told the template is being rewritten. The rewritten template was merged into the first beta without addressing this issue. However, the beta freeze meant that this wouldn't change (even though a million other things did change during the beta). So... there appears to be nothing we can do about it.
