I'm preparing for the upgrade to J4, and the pre-update checker reports two "Akeeba Strapper" files as "update info unavailable". I suppose this is obvious.

But: how do I get rid of these files?

I have already deleted two folders in \media , but the files are still there...

Thanks,

j.

Please read https://www.akeeba.com/news/1747-joomla-4-is-around-the-corner.html, especially the part towards the bottom of the page under “Before upgrading an existing site to Joomla 4”. Magic Eraser will remove Strapper and all of our other long-ago discontinued extensions we used to ship with our software over the past 10 years.

Thank you.

My sites aren't that big or complicated and Akeeba Backup is the only one of your extensions I use - an "agressive" Magic Eraser might be overkill... :).

So I've simply uninstalled the two AkeebaStrapper instances and as far as I can tell that worked.

Could you please confirm I can also uninstall F0F (NEW) and FOF30?

cheers,

j.

Use the Magic Eraser.
