Good morning

Part 2 of my previous topic #34820

It worked a bit for a while, but after Joomla version 3.2.26 it started all over again.
Today I updated 18 websites from Joomla 3.2.27 to Joomla 3.2.28.
From this 18 websites, which all habe AkeebaPro with the same settings, only 6 of them did the upload to the cloud.

Most of them, which did not, didn't even make a backup.
I got the screen with the progress bars, but when I go to "manage backups', there is no update of today.
When lucky, and old backup from J3.2.25 is still there.
So this is not really reliable.

Another difference I saw was that on the 6 websites which did the upload to Onedrive is that they all have the shortcut link in de controlpanel to backup. (under maintenance topic, together with "joomla is up to date " and "all extension are up to date".
For all websites who didn't make the backup, don't have that shortcut in the controlpanel.
I can't find a way to get it there either.

Hello,

what's the installed version of Akeeba Backup on those sites?

I can see what you wrote, but I was asking if all of your sites had the same Akeeba Backup version.

Since the new release of Joomla, we got no other tickets about the backup on update feature. If the new version of Joomla would have break that feature, at this time we already would have known.

I suspect there could a server issue behind that.

Are they hosted on the same server (for example a Virtual Private Server)?
Do you have cache enable or server cache enabled?
Are you using a CDN?

Good afternoon

Sorry, missunderstood your question then.

Yes, all my websites use the same settings foor Joomla, server and Akeeba.

They are all hosted on the same server, except 2.
1 of those 2 doesn't work for backup.
the other, on a different erver (so 3 in total) does the trick

The server cache enabled, I need to check

I'm not using CDN

It all worked before, I did all updates need for Joomla or Akeeba.
And for some reason half of the websites doesn't work anymore.

Greetings

Please take a look at the server cache and it you are use LightSpeed as webserver please disable it. It doesn't play nice with Joomla, since it won't honor the request to invalidate the cache and fetch "fresh" content. That would explain why after you took a backup there is no entry inside the Manage Backups page.
