EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.


Description of my issue:

When to proceed with the Joomla! Akeeba backup does not perform automatic backup. Why?

This was fixed in 8.0.4 so please make sure you have updated to that version.

Also note that since several versions Aho you will no longer be seeing the icon in the status bar. Instead, when you go to the Joomla! Update page you will see a note at the top of the page letting you know whether Backup on Update is enabled or not. There's a button there to toggle it.

Finally, do note that you need to have the System – Backup on Update plugin published on your site for this feature to work at all.
