Description of my issue:

after update to 8.0.2  (from 7.5.x) same update  (8.0.2 --> 8.0.2) is offered again, a few minutes later...

Updates are handled by Joomla, not Akeeba Backup. Joomla's extension updater has a number of major bugs we have reported to the Joomla project repeatedly over the last 8 years. They still pretend they never heard of them. We filed a public issue about these issues — one of them indeed being about update information being stuck which results in Joomla reporting updates when there are none or not finding updates which do actually exist — but we were met with open hostility.

The Joomla project FORCES us to use its buggy and subpar extensions installer they refuse to fix, on pain of removing all of our software listings from the Joomla Extensions Directory. As a result there is nothing we can reasonably do except tell you that it's a problem with Joomla that we have reported and they will neither fix nor allow us to circumvent they buggy, subpar extensions updater code (by using our own updater, like we used to do between 2007 and 2014).
