Description of my issue:

Hello,


Akeeba 8.0 is not working somethings go wrong. The message “o class ‘F0F40\container\’ not found. Is shown Reinstall Akeeba 7.15 after delete ‘plugins/system/backuponupdate’ and it works but not the pro version.

Delete the folder plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck. This is a plugin we have removed a very long time ago. If it's still somehow installed on your site it will break when you install Akeeba Backup 8, causing this problem.

Other possible culprits, if Joomla failed to effect the update correctly:

  • plugins/actionlog/akeebabackup
  • plugins/quickicon/akeebabackup
  • plugins/system/backuponupdate

Then you need to install Akeeba Backup 8 again, without uninstalling it before or in between.

I am working on an update which will automatically remove all these folders before Joomla tries to install the update to prevent this kind of issues.

Yes after deleting the plugin you mentioned I have installed version 8.01 and received the message I send you .
