Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

It won't erase old log files on any of my sites, I've got over 20 sites running Akeeba backup, and none delete my old logs files. Here is what I have configured:

Hello,

first of all, please remember that quota settings are mutually exclusive: you can only have a policy based on the age or a policy based on the size or  a policy based on the amount of records. In this case only the age policy will be applied.

That being said, do you have more than one backup profile? If so, please remember that quota policies are stored in the profile, so you have to save the same rules on every profile.

Finally, you're talking about log files. But if you get inside the Manage Backups page, do you have any item linked to those old logs?

I don't want quotas, I only want time, so it's correct based on your wording. I have the correct profile edited and running, so yes that's correct.

Yes, there are a lot of backups in the system!

They match, meaning they aren't deleting.

What's the oldest backup? Looking at your settings, you set Akeeba Backup to keep backup records up to 10 days. Looking at your screenshot, you have backups from 29th to 25th, so it's normal they are still there.

Finally, please note that quotas are enforced after a backup finished running, so you need to trigger a backup to let Akeeba Backup calculate which records keep or remove.

So I've let it go for a bit of time to see what happens. It's not cleaning log files as I suspected. Below is a screenshot of the count of logs files, there are 86 as of today. It runs CLI every night at midnight, so it should only have 10 file, not 86.

More than 10 there, so it's obviously not pruning as it should. Thoughts?

Ok, I'll take a look into it. This week is a bit busy since we're having issues with updates on hosts with a specific server configuration, but I'll try to replicate and debug the issue.
