Description of my issue:

 

I have akeeba professional backup and whenever I update the version, the standard version is installed. I have to install proffesional again

Hello,

updates are handled by Joomla itself, somehow Joomla still has the info for fetching updates from the Core update site instead of the professional one.

Please get inside Extensions > Manage > Update Sites and search for "Akeeba Backup". Can you please post a screenshot of the results?

If you only have one record, you can simply delete it and then hit the "Rebuild" button. That should fix your issue.
