Akeeba Backup 7.5.0, released today, is compatible with PHP 8.0. You can find the compatibility information of our software with PHP and Joomla versions at akeeba.com/compatibility Please do note that even though Joomla 3.9.23 claims to be PHP 8 compatible there are still a few parts of it which are not, such as the post-installation messages. Moreover, not all third party software — especially third party templates — are not compatible with it either. You might want to wait a couple of months for all developers to catch up before doing the switch to PHP 8.0.
As far as I can tell based on a really bad experience 2-3 years ago, LiteSpeed's cache is unaware of which pages of your site are public and which are generated per-user. As a result it caches per-user pages, including the administrator pages. This could end up breaking your site. If you decide to use it please bear in mind that it will definitely break all remote backup features (front-end backup URL and JSON backup API), the akeeba-altbackup.php CLI script and possibly cause problems in your site's administrator including but limited to being unable to switch between backup profiles or take backups successfully. If any of these issues occur you will need to disable LiteSpeed's cache and retry reproducing the issue. If the issue cannot be reproduced with LiteSpeed's cache turned off the problem comes from it and we can provide no support since LiteSpeed is server software under the purview of your host and we have no input on its configuration.
