Need some minor assistance finetuning the default profile. I checked the manual but can't seem to get it right. I'm doing Cron nightly backups. I'd like to keep 7 backups (so essentially a weekly rotation). Under quota management the following configuration is set

remote file quota's: no

maximum backup age quota's: yes

maximum backup age: 31 (default)

Don't delete backups: 0.00

Obsolete records to keep: 1

Enable size quota: no

Size quota: 15

Enable count quota: yes

Count quota: 7

Now it's my understanding that the count quota of 7 should overwrite the maximum backup age of 31 and leave me with 7 backups and 1 obsolete record. However in this configuration on my end that doesn't seem to be the case as i have 31+1 records. Probably need to change something but i'd rather ask for your assistance to change the proper thing.

Hello,

quota policies are mutually exclusive: you can only choose if you want to handle them by age, size or count, not mixing them.

It seems that in this case then the maximum backup age takes priority. So if i understand you correctly, all i need to do, to get things working the way i want to, is to disable maximum backup age and leave only count quota to yes? I assume ABP will then do the rest and eventually remove the excess records?

Yep, you're correct.
