Hi, in the public directory of my joomla site I have installed some websites developed with woordpress, prestashop and joomla in subdirectories.

When I backup my joomla site I would like the directories of the sites located in the subdirectories and their respective databases not to be saved in the backup, but only the files and database of the main site.

How can I do to create a selective backup of directories and databases?

In Akeeba Backup terms, you want to exclude folders from your backup.  Take a look at the bottom of the main screen for "Files and directories exclusion".  Excluding the folder will exclude all of the contents of the folder, so you don't have to exclude each folder in the tree, just exclude the root folder of the other site.

If your other sites use separate databases, you don't have to do anything.  The external databases are not backed up by default, but they can be added to the backup if needed.  If your other sites share the database, you need to exclude the tables using "Database tables exclusion".
