Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

The post-processing transfer of the backups to Amazon S3 fail with the following message:

"Could not resolve host: wabbackup.s3-us-east-2.amazonaws.com"

This error only occurs when doing a full backup, which is broken up into three splits of about 2 GB each.  If I do a database backup (about 100 MB), with the same configuration settings, it successfully transfers to AWS.

The backup was executed via command line (cron job).

Log is attached.

Thank you,

Rick

I changed my backup profile configuration to check the "Disable multipart uploads" and since doing that, I have had two successful backups and transfers to AWS (via command line).  So unless you have something else to add, I think this ticket can be closed for the time being.  It is odd that the error message would indicate some sort of DNS issue but apparently that is just a misleading error message.
