Description of my issue: I am having the same issue as described in ticket #14912 – AEAbstractDump :: Database Error.
I understand the solution is to upgrade my copy of Akeeba Backup Pro from 3.6.12 to a newer version, but I am not sure which version to install. The stable version 3 on your compatibility chart is 3.4.6. This appears to be a lower version than I have got, but I do know it works, because I have it installed on another small host that also has PHP 5.6.36 installed and it backs up the MySQL database without issue. The alternative is to upgrade to 4.7.7.
As the host I am wanting to backup is my one and only production host, I am wanting to minimise the risk of screwing up this host by upgrading Akeeba Backup without doing a backup first.
Can you please recommend which version I should use to overwrite 3.6.12?
Many thanks
