So far great software. thank you. I am wondering if you have a way I can use the task scheduler or similar in windows since this is running on a IIS server setup. I paid for the pro even though I wasn't sure it would let me do this and I am OK with paying for it if not since it supports the developers. So far it has been a nice clean setup just hoping to figure out a way to get the backups scheduled on a windows server setup.

Thanks!

Dexter

You can definitely use the Windows Task Scheduler to execute a PHP command line script. Example.

The idea is to create a new scheduled task where the command to execute is basically the command line detailed in the Schedule Automatic Backups page in Akeeba Backup. You only to substitute the path to the PHP command line executable (php-cli.exe) in the beginning of the script.

Also remember that the Windows Task Scheduler is the same as CRON on Linux. That is to say, it runs a command line task. The backup runs in the command line, not on your server. So IIS or anything else -- it doesn't matter. We are not going through the web server :)

Perfect, thank you! I thought maybe I was trying to make it do something it wasn't supposed to. After you answered I found that my PDO extension was disabled and was causing me issues.

Thanks again, working as it should now!
