EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
After I chose update extension from the control panel the screen went completely white. Under components Akeeba backup was no longer listed. In the control panel it showed Akeeba had an update. I ran that update and the Screen was white with the typical dialog box that akeeba show but the style sheet wasn't connected. I download the package and reinstalled and Akeeba was gone again. i used the Web Package installer and got Akeeba installed again. The backup ran fine.

Just wanted to let you know.

I am running XAMPP.

Hello,

updates are handled by Joomla itself, our code doesn't have a chance to run during the update.
When there's a white page, most likely it means that an error occurred in it (maybe a file is missing). Installing Akeeba Backup twice in a row usually fixes it, this is why you have a working Akeeba Backup installation now.
