Description of my issue:

I have a cron job running the following command:
.../httpdocs/cli/akeeba-backup.php --quiet

Started getting the following messages...

Warnings : POTENTIAL PROBLEMS DETECTED; 1 warnings issued (see below).
Your version of Akeeba Backup is more than 120 days old and most likely already out of date. Please check if a newer version is published and install it.

Is there a command line option I can stop this (save me extracting it in shell script!)?)

Hello,

the quiet option will disable any output unless there's a warning.
An Akeeba Backup version older than 4 months is certainly an important warning: we constantly work on improving the software and fixing issues with cloud service provider. So such warning is somewhere important, since you could be sitting on issues that have been already resolved in the latest versions of the software.

Thanks,

In our situation we only want serious output from cron which CANNOT be ignored.

We would like to see a warning level option added to --quiet which will prevent messages like this.

Or give a message ID to these warnings and allow user to define which ones to ignore.

E.G. the message becomes...
WARN123 : Your version of Akeeba Backup

The following command line options would prevent such messages appearing.

--quiet --ignore 123

Could list multiple message IDs, separated by commas.

The alternative is for our script to catch these and discard them.
Easily done, but to me increases the risk of missing something and would prefer it to be controlled through Akeeba.

I'll submit the issue to Nicholas and let's see if we can do something about that.
