Description of my issue:
Hi,
I am testing Joomla! 4 for a while and used Akeeba backup without errors.
This morming, with the last nghty build of alpha7, when updating Akeeba backup from 6.3.3 to 6.4.0 (and after uninstalling and reinstalling 6.3.3 or 6.4.0 version), I have that error : "Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin() ".
i tried on another new site (new installation of 4.0.0 alpha 7 nighty build last built: Saturday, 16 February 2019 03:00:47 UTC) and have the same error.

Robert

We do not support Joomla! 4 right now. The alpha versions are in a state of flux. Not even the backend template is ready yet. It makes no sense for us wasting time to make our software compatible with something which is not similar to Joomla! 4 stable. It makes more sense using that time to enrich our software.

We will start working on Joomla! 4 support after the first beta is released. Please note that this does NOT mean that Akeeba Backup will be compatible with Joomla! 4 beta 1. Depending on what will be required to achieve compatibility we may not even have a version of Akeeba Backup compatible with Joomla! 4 when J4 stable is released. J3 to J4 is a far bigger leap than J2.5 to J3.

Thanks Nicholas, but why did you add the "alpha4" logo on the JED ?
Akeeba backup worked on the previous alpha 6 and alpha 7 versions of Joomla 4.0

That logo was added when alpha2 was released. Akeeba Backup does work with alpha2. Apparently it never got removed.

Akeeba backup was working on alpha 7 some days ago, it's because it doesn't work with a more recent alpha 7 dev that I wanted to tell you. ;)

Hi,

Nichoas is currently pretty busy and I'm taking some of his tickets.
Just to be sure, can we consider this ticket solved? Do you have any more questions?
